1. General information
Objectives of the subject
They are related to the digestive system, locomotor system, cardiovascular system and respiratory system.
- To know the pathophysiology and causes of the most frequent diseases.
- To describe and identify the clinical manifestations of the different altered processes.
- To know and understand the examination and diagnostic tests most frequently used in clinical practice, and correctly describe the nursing care to the patient in each of them.
- To analyse the data collected in the assessment and establish priority criteria.
- To draw the individualized care plan, adapted to the health problem detected.
- To use methodological resources specific to nursing care (Nanda, Noc, Nic).
They are aligned with the SDGs of the United Nations Agency 2030

2. Learning results
1. Work in a holistic, tolerant, non-judgmental, caring and sensitive manner, ensuring that the rights, beliefs and wishes of different individuals or groups are not compromised
2. Educate, support and encourage the health, wellness and comfort of groups and individuals, in order to respond effectively to their needs during health or illness experiences, facilitating effective communication with patients, families and social groups
3. Undertake comprehensive and systematic assessments using patient-appropriate tools and frameworks.

ASSESSMENT AND CARE OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
CARE IN DISEASES OF THE ESOPHAGUS, STOMACH, SMALL AND LARGE INTESTINE.
CARE IN DISORDERS OF THE LIVER, BILIARY TRACT AND PANCREAS.
ASSESSMENT AND CARE OF THE LOCOMOTOR SYSTEM.
CARE IN MUSCULO-SKELETAL and TRAUMATIC ALTERATIONS.
SPINAL CARE.
CARE IN RHEUMATOLOGIC DISORDERS.

4. Academic activities
The subject consists of 9 credits: teaching assignment of 225 hours of student work.

5. Assessment system
Theoretical written exam.
- Individual test: 60% of the final grade
- Two written midterm exams of 12 short questions.
- 1st: digestive and locomotor system.
- 2º: cardiovascular system and respiratory system.
Midterm exams are eliminatory (3 points out of 6), in each midterm. A minimum of 1 point must be obtained in each thematic block to pass.
Final written exam: official calls June-July.
Midterm passed will be saved until July.
The final test will have the same characteristics as the midterm tests.
There are three types of final exams (1st midterm, 2nd midterm, the whole subject).
Final exam: students who have not shown up, who have not passed any of the midterm exams or have failed both midterm exams must take an exam for the whole subject.
Written examination of seminars, problems and cases.
- 20% of the final grade.
- 20 test questions with only one correct answer.
- Eliminatory midterm exam, (1.3 points out of 2).
- Attendance and participation in seminars and practices is mandatory.
- If there is an excused absence, it will be made up with another group.
The theory and seminar exams are independent, keeping their grade until July.
Field work.
20% of the final grade. It is done in group and mandatory, it is passed with 50% of 2 points.
The proposed topic will be reviewed, updated and tutored in groups.
